1 Arrival in Guwahati � Transfer to Shillong (Approx. 100 km / 3 hrs)

Welcome to Assam! Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, the Gallivant Journeys team will receive you and assist with your transfer to Shillong � the charming hill station often referred to as the �Scotland of the East�. On the way, enjoy a stop at the tranquil Umiam Lake, a serene reservoir surrounded by pine-clad hills and a perfect introduction to Meghalaya�s lush landscapes. Check-in at your hotel in Shillong and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Shillong.

2 Cherrapunjee Excursion (Approx. 60 km / 3 hrs one way)

Begin your day with an early breakfast and a scenic drive to Cherrapunjee, a place famous worldwide as one of the wettest locations on Earth. Explore the majestic Nohkalikai Falls, cascading from towering cliffs, and delve into the mysterious depths of Mawsmai Caves, known for their limestone formations and natural beauty. On your return to Shillong, stop at the iconic Elephant Falls, a three-tiered waterfall nestled amid dense greenery. Overnight stay in Shillong.

3 Shillong Sightseeing � Drive to Guwahati (Approx. 100 km / 3 hrs)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and explore some of Shillong's top attractions. Visit the Don Bosco Museum (closed on Sundays), a rich repository of Northeast India's indigenous culture. Stroll through Ward�s Lake, a popular leisure spot in the heart of the city. Later, head back to Guwahati. On arrival, check in at your hotel and relax. In the evening, opt for a Golden Sunset Cruise on the Brahmaputra River (available on direct payment) Overnight stay in Guwahati.

4 Kamakhya Temple Visit � Departure

After breakfast, visit the renowned Kamakhya Temple, one of the most sacred Shakti Peethas in India, perched atop Nilachal Hill with breathtaking views over the Brahmaputra River. (Visiting hours: 8:00 AM�1:00 PM & 3:00 PM until dusk; timings may vary depending on your departure schedule and can be adjusted accordingly.) After the temple visit, we will transfer you to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey, marking the end of your delightful Assam Meghalaya tour with Gallivant Journeys.
